Ciao de nuevo! Cómo va? Hoy os traigo un socorrido diy para
aprovechar los jeans demodé que tod@s tenemos en el armario muertos de risa. Comenzamos!
Hi again! What’s up? Today I bring a very useful diy
to take advantage of those démodé jeans we all have in our closet. Let’s get it
started!
Necesitaremos: We’ll need:

Jeans /Jeans
-
Puntilla /Lace
-
Tijeras/ Scissors
-
Hilo/ Thread
-
Metro/ Tape measure
1. Cortar los jeans/ Cut the jeans
Da hasta vergüenza enseñar los
jeans campana del año de la tos hehehe, pero en fin, de ahí que buscara una
manera de aprovecharlos. Primeramente cogí un short más o menos monino y lo
utilicé como referencia para marcar una muesca a cada lateral de los jeans.
Tracé una línea a ojo y corté sin remordimientos.
Recomiendo que os volváis a
probar de nuevo los jeans para asegurar que esa es la medida que os sienta bien
(teniendo en cuenta los cm que sumará la puntilla). Yo aproveché también para deshilacharlos un
poquito con ayuda de una aguja; así le damos un toque más usado todavía que
contrastará con la finura de la puntilla.
I’m even
embarrassed to show these old bell-bottomed pants hahaha, but actually that’s
why I was looking for sth to re-use them again. First of all, I chose a cute
short to use it as a reference to mark a notch at every side of the jeans. Then
I draw a line and cut them without remorse.
I
recommend to re-try your shorts once cut to get sure that’s the size that fits
you (take into account those cm that the lace’ll add). I also got the short
frayed with a needle because I wanted them to look a little more used as it’ll
contrast with the delicacy of the lace.
2.
Marcar la puntilla/ Mark the
lace
Posteriormente tracé una línea
con lápiz para marcar la referencia que quedará cosida justo por el interior
del short. La puntilla que escogí ya me daba pie a trazar por encima de las
flores, así que me ahorré medir en exceso .No obstante, os recomiendo que
queden un par de cms por dentro del short para evitar riesgos.
Later, I
draw a line with a pencil to mark the reference that I wanted to sew just inside
the short. The lace I chose allowed me drawing on the flowers, so it was easy
to me to get the reference. However, I recommend letting two cm at least inside
the short to avoid risks.
3.
Hilvanar/ Baste
Coloqué la puntilla con la línea
a ras del short y aguanté la tela con unos alfileres para hilvanar después en
un par de líneas. Tiene que quedar recta porque a continuación lo vamos a coser
como toca.
I put the
lace with the line reaching down to the short and I held the cloth with some
pins before basting. The lace should stay straight as we’re sewing right now.
4.
Coser/ Sew
Finalmente cosí la puntilla al
pantalón a base de pespuntes con el mejor arte que tuve y con un hilo de color
similar al short para disimular los ‘poquitos’ errores que pudiesen surgir ;).
Finally I
sewed the lace to the short by backstitches the best I could. I used a thread
whose color was similar to the short to hide those little mistakes I could make
;).
5.

Yo lo suelo combinar con camisas
para mezclar este toque lencero, procuraré dejar algún look más pronto que
tarde.
I use to
combine them with shirts to get this lace tip done, I’ll let some look as soon
as possible.
